OUTSIDE SCHOOL HOURS CARE

Outside School Hours Care
We offer Before School Care and After School Care at Big Hill . Before School Care will operate every school day during the term from 7.00am until 8.45am. After School Care will operate every school day during the term from 3.20pm until 6.00pm. The program will be run at the school, using school facilities and normal school rules will apply.

The Program

The Outside School Hours Care staff plan a varied and exciting program that will appeal to the children. There will be a major activity each day plus a number of smaller activities.

This service is being provided to cater for a need expressed by parents and your support will be required to ensure the program is successful. Activities are selected to enable children to enjoy their time in the program.

 The Outside School Hours Care staff have demonstrated a commitment to working with primary children and will ensure the program is designed to meet the needs of parents and children.

Enrolment of Children
You will be required to complete an enrolment form. Please take your time with this and include all relevant information so we can ensure the best care is taken of your children.

Booking In
There are two types of bookings – Casual and Permanent. Where your child has a permanent booking or has previously booked into the program but their attendance on a particular day is no longer required, the parent or guardian shall contact the school prior to 9.00am, otherwise a fee for the session will have to be charged. If your child attends on a casual basis you are requested to contact the office and book in prior to 9.00am. We realise there will be times when this is not possible and bookings may be taken until 1.00pm.
Similarly, Before School Care bookings must be finalised the day before as above.

Picking Up Children

All children must be collected from the After School Care by 6.00pm. This will be strictly observed as our worker’s hours finish at 6.00pm. If your child is picked up by somebody other than the parent or guardian or a child is required to walk or ride home, we will require written permission from the parent.

Refreshments
Session fees for After School Care will include an afternoon snack consisting of fruit with plenty of fresh water and a variety of other snack food.
Children will be provided with a breakfast of juice, cereal and fruit in Before School Care.

Payment of Fees
Fortnightly accounts will be issued to those attending. Accounts should be paid fortnightly. Receipts will always be issued.
